Overview
The Civil Engineer will manage and supervise infrastructure works for the "Implementation Support for the Sanitation Project for the Sint Maarten Dutch Quarter." The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
Tasks Summary
- Manage design adjustments
- Provide procurement support
- Oversee general construction
- Supervise construction activities
- Prepare and review proposals for design adjustments
- Coordinate with involved parties for design modifications
- Contribute to ToRs and technical documentation for procurement
- Participate in proposal evaluations
- Support management and monitoring of construction contracts
- Maintain UNOPS presence on site during construction
- Monitor work progress, quality, and compliance
- Advise on corrective actions for project issues
- Verify quantities of works against contract provisions
- Prepare project documentation including progress reports and handover documents
- Facilitate coordination with authorities and stakeholders
- Provide incident and issue reports
- Develop and implement Quality Management Plan
