Tasks Summary

IMPORTANT : to apply to this project you MUST use the form available at www.informa-giovani.net/esc-caritas The activities of Caritas Diocesana di Patti are carried out in order to achieve the organisation's objectives, which are to promote volunteering and to support people with fewer opportunities. Volunteers will be involved in solidarity activities (such as food distribution, clothing distribution and the organisation of solidarity events), in orientation and support activities for young people and in the management of a meeting place. Volunteers can make it possible to provide direct and continuous support for the activities, while at the same time promoting a culture of active participation and solidarity. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements The host house is located in the centre of Sant'Agata di Militello. Volunteers will sleep in a double room shared by both sexes. Toilets and showers are also shared by gender and free Wi-Fi is available. At certain times of the year, volunteers may have the opportunity to share the common areas of the house with small groups of international volunteers who support the centre in its activities. Individual support: monthly allowance (Euro 6,00 per day) Meals: Monthly allowance (Euro 150,00 per month) Travel costs: Based on the ESC guide according to the Erasmus+ distance calculator. Training during the activity On arrival training and Mid-Term Evaluation organized by Italian National Agency (online training) + Online Linguistic Support (Italian language). Participant profile We are looking for volunteers aged between 20-30 years old with previous experiences in participating in workcamps, volunteering activities in country and abroad, with a strong interest in the youth sector, in promoting youth participation, volunteering and social inclusion, interested and motivated to use non formal education methods. Skills in communication to young people and working in a team. Previous international volunteering experience and driving licence is welcome.
