Youth Council Prilep Prilep, North Macedonia Volunteer opportunity: Individual Volunteering Project for Youth I
Youth Council Prilep is looking for three motivated volunteers to take part in an accredited volunteering project lasting 60 activity days in Prilep, North Macedonia. The volunteer will be actively involved in the daily work of the organization’s office, with the opportunity to develop personal and professional competences, strengthen their sense of initiative, and gain new skills and knowledge. Throughout the project, the volunteer will participate in various activities such as recording radio podcasts, organizing workshops, presentations and courses, leading sports and creative sessions, preparing lectures and public events, and collaborating with the local volunteer team. This project offers a valuable experience for personal growth, intercultural exchange, and active contribution to the local community.Detailed plan of the activities and dynamics will be developed together with volunteers and Youth Council Prilep team. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements The volunteer will be accommodated in a shared apartment in Prilep, North Macedonia. Each month, they will receive allowances for food and pocket money, transferred to their Macedonian bank account. The rent, as well as electricity and water bills, will be fully covered by Youth Council Prilep. Travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with the Erasmus+ Distance Band Calculator, with green travel being the preferred and encouraged option for all volunteers participating in the project. Training during the activity The volunteer will have the opportunity to participate in an On-Arrival Training organized by the National Agency of North Macedonia (if their arrival coincides with the scheduled training period). During the project, the volunteer will also attend Macedonian language classes to support their cultural adaptation and daily communication. In addition, they will be encouraged to take part in various local trainings and workshops organized by Youth Council Prilep, aimed at enhancing their skills, creativity, and community engagement. Participant profile The ideal candidate should be motivated, flexible, patient, creative, open-minded, proactive, and communicative, with a genuine interest in working with young people and contributing to the local community. A basic level of English is required. The volunteer is encouraged to bring their own ideas to the project and take initiative in creating, planning, and implementing personal activities or mini-projects, as well as collaborating with the Youth Council Prilep team and local volunteers to make a meaningful impact.This call is open to one volunteer with fewer opportunities from EU countries located within a distance band of 500–1999 km from Prilep, North Macedonia. The selected volunteer must be willing to travel using green means of transport (such as train, bus, or carpooling). This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable skills, experience intercultural exchange, and actively contribute to community development while living and working in an inspiring environment.
