Tasks Summary

Love getting creative with your hands while learning about sustainable building? Join our upcycling and natural building activity and be part of an eco-construction adventure! At Dio Pigadia, we turn reclaimed and locally sourced materials into beautiful, functional structures, from tiny houses and compost toilets to furniture and animal shelters. But we don’t stop at upcycling! You’ll also learn traditional natural building techniques like cob and adobe brick construction, creating sustainable spaces that blend perfectly with nature. Possible project that you may be involved in: - Build and design cop tiny house - Build eco-friendly structures using upcycled & natural materials - Learn cob and adobe brick techniques for sustainable construction - Create shelters for wild birds and farm animals - Help design and construct innovative spaces like compost toilets and furniture - Contribute to a permaculture community Accommodation, food and transport arrangements A canvas tent will be set up on-site to provide comfortable accommodation for all volunteers. It will offer shelter, space for resting and a convenient place to store personal belongings throughout the volunteering period. We cooking mainly vegetarian melas twice a day, with vegetables from the garden and local organic products. We bake our sourdough bread every Friday in the cob wood oven. We eating together lunch and dinner and rotating cooking and clinging/dishes tasks (from Monday to Friday). Bikes are available on the farm and we are happy to organize your lift to the city. Training during the activity During the project you will be provided with guidance to explore new ways of creating engaging, story-telling through images. You will have an opportunity to learn about permaculture gardening, regenerative agriculture, self-sufficiency skills, community living etc Participant profile We’re looking for motivated young people (18–30) to join our ESC group volunteering project focused on upcycling, natural building and sustainable construction. If you enjoy hands-on work, being outdoors, creating with reused materials and learning eco-friendly building techniques, this project is for you! No experience needed just curiosity, creativity and a passion for sustainability. Work in an international team, learn new skills and help build a greener future.
