Overview
International consultant to review curriculum development approaches and propose a framework for strengthening Competency-Based Education (CBE) integration in pre- and in-service teacher education.
Tasks Summary
- Conduct desk review of national teacher education standards and guidelines
- Consult with curriculum developers, faculty, and leadership
- Examine curriculum design, structure, delivery, and assessment
- Review representative programmes for CBE alignment
- Identify strengths, weaknesses, and institutional conditions
- Design and deliver training workshop on CBE methodology
- Prepare framework and roadmap for CBE-aligned curriculum
- Provide recommendations on linking pre-service practicum and in-service mentoring
- Develop policy note on system-level implications
- Present findings and integrate feedback
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in teacher education reform, curriculum design, and CBE approaches
- Proven experience in curriculum review, instructional design, and teacher professional development in higher education contexts
- Demonstrated understanding of practicum models and mentoring systems
- Experience in post-Soviet or transition education systems is desirable

Advanced university degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or related field
