Overview
Support the planning, implementation, and reporting of projects aimed at strengthening information integrity and access, as well as promoting responsible digital transformation across the Mekong countries.
Tasks Summary
- Develop project workplans and execute activities in Thailand
- Engage with stakeholders for coordination and resource mobilization
- Advise on project financial resource utilization, procurement, and recruitment
- Provide monitoring, reporting, and evaluation for project effectiveness
- Facilitate implementation of grant programmes on media development
- Advance Media and Information Literacy (MIL) initiatives
- Assist in organizing flagship activities and advocacy efforts for international days
- Promote AI empowerment initiatives for journalists and civil servants
- Provide knowledge and technical support for youth participation in online civic space
- Coordinate translation of a UNESCO Toolkit into two Asia-Pacific languages
- Develop activities and communication materials for toolkit introduction
- Assist in budget monitoring and final project reporting
- Support development of workplans and periodic reports
- Assist in developing publications, presentations, and communication materials
- Undertake missions and other assigned tasks
- Submit narrative report of IPDC projects by 28 February 2026
- Submit open call for 2026 IPDC proposals, pre-screening report, and final-nominated proposals by 31 March 2026
Experience Requirements
Experience in planning, implementation, and reporting of projects related to media development, media pluralism, freedom of expression, access to information, media and information literacy (MIL), digital transformation, and ethical use of AI. Experience in coordinating activities, mobilizing stakeholders, strengthening partnerships, and enhancing outreach and visibility. Experience in budget monitoring and final project reporting. Experience in developing workplans and periodic reports. Experience in developing publications, presentations, and communication materials.
