Overview
The intern will support the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO in its mission to coordinate global ocean science and services. Activities will vary based on assignment requirements.
Tasks Summary
- Collect, organize, and analyze data
- Contribute to document preparation and conceptual framework development
- Assist in developing new interventions or projects
- Undertake research and reviews for work products
- Prepare knowledge and communication products
- Participate in meetings and seminars
- Analyze data for partnerships and resource mobilization
- Support stakeholder engagement
- Facilitate working groups and partner networks
- Provide administrative and logistical support for events
- Support budget, financial, and project documentation preparation
- Manage data and contacts related to the Ocean Decade
- Process requests for endorsement of Decade Actions
- Support drafting and dissemination of communications assets
Experience Requirements
Qualification Requirements
- Currently enrolled in the 3rd or final year of a Bachelor's degree
- OR Currently enrolled in a second university degree (Master's or PhD) or equivalent
- OR Completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree within the last 12 months
- Applicants in technical/vocational assignments must be enrolled in a specialized technical/vocational program
