Overview

The Business Partnerships Officer will support UNICEF's efforts to create sustainable impact for children through partnerships with the business sector. This role is instrumental in operationalizing the new partnership strategy, building a pipeline of corporate allies, and co-creating impactful initiatives.

Tasks Summary
  • Review BAC’s current structure, membership, and performance.
  • Organize consultations with BAC members and key stakeholders.
  • Assist in production of revitalization plan.
  • Propose mechanisms for ongoing dialogue with BAC members.
  • Assist in creating meaningful involvement of BAC members into UNICEF key events and initiatives.
  • Organize quarterly or ad-hoc meetings of BAC.
  • Update the existing mapping of the potential private sector partners.
  • Assist in creating tailored value propositions for different sectors.
  • Support outreach and relationship-building with high-potential companies.
  • Co-create new partnership concepts with businesses.
  • Support the development of recognition and visibility plans for corporate partners.
  • Identify innovative fundraising opportunities.
  • Provide inputs for embedding the private sector fundraising into Resource mobilization strategy.
  • Assist in donor stewardship and impact reporting.
  • Assist the Communication Officer in production of Communication and visibility plans for high profile donors.
  • Assist the Communication Officer in monitoring and reporting of the Communication Component of EU Funded projects.
  • Assist the Communication team in production and placement of various communication assets and materials.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, or communications, including at least 1 year directly related to the business sector.
  • Proven experience in organizational assessments and stakeholder engagement, fundraising, communication and strategic planning.
  • Previous experience with social and resource mobilisation strategizing.
  • Strong understanding of corporate social responsibility, shared value, sustainability, and responsible business practices.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, analytical and writing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of local business, political and social landscape.
  • Familiarity with UNICEF’s work in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Qualification Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or communication
