Overview

This role supports the meaningful participation of adolescents and young people through structured platforms, advancing employability and entrepreneurship initiatives, and strengthening youth-related policy reform.

Tasks Summary
  • Coordinate the Ukraine Country Office Young People Advisory Board (YPAB).
  • Organize and facilitate regular YPAB meetings.
  • Facilitate structured consultations and engagement between YPAB members, UNICEF, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure safe inclusion of adolescents and youth from vulnerable groups.
  • Support capacity-building, leadership development, and mentoring activities for YPAB members.
  • Support youth engagement in advocacy initiatives, campaigns, and consultations.
  • Establish and maintain monitoring and documentation mechanisms.
  • Support systematic data and information management related to youth participation, skills, and employability.
  • Coordinate inputs and support preparation of reports and briefing materials.
  • Maintain and update knowledge-sharing platforms.
  • Provide technical and quality assurance support for youth participation integration.
  • Support field monitoring visits, program reviews, and learning exercises.
  • Collaborate with sectoral colleagues and external partners.
  • Ensure safeguarding protocols are consistently applied in all youth engagement activities.
  • Support the design and rollout of training modules for staff, partners, and youth leaders.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in youth and adolescent development, civic engagement, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of youth participation methodologies.
  • Experience in supporting youth employability, entrepreneurship, and skills activation programs.
  • Knowledge and experience in youth-related policy engagement and social policy.
  • Strong coordination, facilitation, and partnership-building skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in safeguarding and inclusive practices.
  • Experience in designing and facilitating capacity-building initiatives.
  • Proven experience in field-based program implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms and knowledge management tools.
  • Ability to prepare analytical briefs, reports, and advocacy materials.
Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences, international development, youth studies, education, or a related field.

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: 12 months (with possibility of extension)

Work Modality: Onsite

Remuneration: • Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA): USD 1690 (equivalent in UAH) provided monthly. • USD 400 entry lump sum, one-time payment. • Medical and life insurance provided. • Annual leave: 2.5 days per completed month. • Learning leave: up to ten working days per 12 months. • Certified Sick Leave: up to 30 days based on a 12-month cycle. • Uncertified Sick Leave: seven days in a calendar year.
