Overview

The role will assist in the Information Management (IM) and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) of all programme activities, ensuring compliance with M&E standards, quality assurance, and IOM and donor requirements.

Tasks Summary
  • Assist in the implementation of the Country M&E Framework.
  • Collaborate with IM & M&E field counterparts to oversee the monitoring of targets and indicators.
  • Develop plans and support the implementation of M&E activities.
  • Develop and review M&E reports.
  • Draft specific components for the preparation of donor reports.
  • Facilitate mid-term and final internal and external evaluations.
  • Contribute to resource mobilization efforts by providing M&E input into funding proposals.
  • Provide technical inputs in the development and/or implementation of special assessments.
  • Contribute to institutional learning by leading participatory review processes.
  • Maintain user-friendly knowledge management system.
  • Support regular capacity building of project staff and IPs.
  • Establish and maintain Accountability to Affected Population (AAP) complaints and feedback mechanisms.
  • Keep abreast of internal frameworks for MEAL and RBM developments.
  • Undertake duty travel to oversee field monitoring and evaluation activities.
Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in Information Management and/or Programme Monitoring and Evaluation in Malaysia context, an asset.
  • Experience in IM/M & E development and implementation, information analysis and report writing, required.
  • Proven ability to consolidate and validate information from multiple sources.
  • Proven ability to work with basic data management, analysis, and presentation software, e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, a must.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees and other vulnerable groups.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Qualification Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Information Management, Statistics, Data Science or related fields from an accredited academic institution.

Other Details

Languages Required: English(oral and written).

Languages Preferred: Working knowledge of Bahasa Melayu and other languages are an advantage

Contract Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
