Tasks Summary
- The CAE (Formació i Serveis Socioculturals) is a non-profit based in Manresa, Catalonia, working in leisure education and youth participation. The volunteer will support La Kampana, a youth centre in the historic city centre, promoting inclusive activities for teens, especially those from immigrant backgrounds. Tasks include assisting with workshops and events at the youth centre, supporting community education projects (like street games), lunchtime activities in schools, and helping at the Youth Information Service. The project promotes gender equality, intercultural dialogue and social inclusion through non-formal education and creative engagement. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements The volunteer will live in a shared apartment in Manresa. Each volunteer has their own private bedroom and shares the kitchen, bathroom, and living room with two other European volunteers participating in different local projects. ALLOWANCE:
- Food allowance: 150 €/month
- Pocket money: 180 €/month Training during the activity The volunteer will attend courses of Catalan language at the CPNL to support their integration and daily communication. They will also attend on-arrival and mid-term training sessions organized by the Spanish National Agency (ANE), offering tools for intercultural learning, networking, and project reflection. Regular mentoring and local support will help develop personal and professional competences throughout the experience. Participant profile We’re looking for someone who is:
- Open-minded and motivated
- Interested in non-formal education for children, teens, and young adults
- Passionate about social inclusion and creative community work
- Flexible and ready to engage with diverse youth backgrounds
- Willing to learn some basic Spanish or Catalan to interact meaningfully with the community
