Overview
Oversee the business management of databases and comprehensive management of the life cycle of database-related applications, including continuous improvement and business impact analysis for new strategic projects and change requests.
Tasks Summary
- Perform day-to-day management of databases and related applications
- Oversee execution of requests for assistance from member countries and/or internal users
- Responsible for business product management including defining changes, testing and implementation
- Serve as business liaison for Web Services implementation
- Manage and update reference tables
- Supervise and check procedures for consulting police databases
- Regularly check access authorizations or restrictions
- Improve functioning and quality of existing police databases and information exchange applications
- Coordinate with other units for improvements to INTERPOL information systems
- Manage and improve functional aspects of databases
- Manage associated user accounts and credentials management applications
- Assess users’ needs at National Central Bureaus and propose suitable tools and services
- Be responsible for change management of databases
- Provide trainings and/or presentations on business product and/or Databases
Experience Requirements
- Experience in business management of databases and comprehensive management of the life cycle of database-related applications
- Experience in defining changes, testing and implementation
- Experience in business liaison for Web Services implementation
- Experience in managing and updating reference tables
- Experience in supervising and checking procedures for consulting police databases
- Experience in checking access authorizations or restrictions
- Experience in improving functioning and quality of existing police databases and information exchange applications
- Experience in coordinating with other units for improvements to INTERPOL information systems
- Experience in managing and improving functional aspects of databases
- Experience in managing associated user accounts and credentials management applications
- Experience in assessing users’ needs and proposing suitable tools and services
- Experience in change management of databases
- Experience as a certified INTERPOL instructor (being or to be) is required
