Overview
The IT Audit Specialist will support the World Bank Group's Internal Audit team by providing risk-based assurance and advisory services covering IT, Cyber Security, Data Management, and other strategic initiatives.
Tasks Summary
- Perform risk assessments of business units, processes, and technologies
- Support multiple engagements concurrently
- Complete major components of audits, including critical technology functions, cloud-based infrastructure, emerging technology, cybersecurity, risk management, application, and data protection/privacy management
- Develop process descriptions and key control narratives
- Develop audit plans and perform tests of controls
- Coordinate and conduct client interviews
- Summarize and communicate results
- Engage closely with key clients
- Lead and coordinate integrated IT audit work
- Support data analytics
Experience Requirements
- Prior audit experience is not required
- A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, preferably in financial institutions, international organizations, or similar environment
- Audit/Consulting experience with Big 4 Firms is welcome
- Preferred experience: 5+ years with IT control and risk management frameworks; 3+ years in planning and conducting audits or project/process management; 1+ years conducting audits of cybersecurity controls, cloud-based solutions or emerging technologies
Qualification Requirements
- Master's degree in relevant field, or 7+ years relevant experience with bachelor’s degree
- Certifications related to Cyber Security, Information Security, Technology, Project Management or Auditing
- Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP) considered a plus
