Overview
Leads the division's work on Strategic Foresight, focusing on the long-term structural transformation of agrifood systems and economies, particularly within the bioeconomy context. Integrates evidence-based insights into reports and outputs, and facilitates collaboration with other FAO units.
Tasks Summary
- Leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of technical issues for assigned programmes/projects
- Directs the review of relevant documents and reports
- Identifies priorities and liaises with relevant parties
- Coordinates programmes and reviews assessments of issues and trends
- Supervises the preparation of written outputs, analyses, and substantial report sections
- Directs substantive support to consultative meetings and conferences
- Manages outreach activities, designs and conducts training workshops, and makes presentations
Experience Requirements
- Experience in leading the division's work on Strategic Foresight across global, regional, and national levels
- Experience in managing and contributing to technical analyses under the Strategic Foresight, Structural Transformation, and Bioeconomy pillar
- Experience in coordinating editorial and publication work for the Future of Food and Agriculture report series and the FAO Global Roadmap
- Experience in fostering partnerships with UN agencies, research centers, and academic institutions
- Experience in providing policy advice grounded in rigorous evidence
