Overview

Leads the Planning Office within the Protective Security & Emergency Services Branch (PSESB). Responsible for planning, communicating, and coordinating protective security arrangements for NATO events.


Tasks Summary
  • Plan, communicate, and coordinate protective security arrangements for NATO events
  • Oversee logistics and resource management for NATO HQ activities
  • Support coordination with Host Nation Security and Emergency Services
  • Supervise day-to-day activities of the Planning Office
  • Represent PSESB at coordination meetings
  • Supervise planning and submission of purchase orders
  • Ensure advantage is taken of electronic records management tools
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives
  • Provide statistics and data regarding Planning Office activities
  • Support preparation of Planning Office documents
  • Exchange knowledge and information with colleagues
  • Ensure internal procedures and practices are documented

Experience Requirements
  • At least 3 years’ experience coordinating and planning security and emergency measures, including activities, resources, and personnel for works, protocol, and high-level visits and events
  • Experience in resource management or project management
  • Ideally with exposure to recruitment, performance management, complaints procedures, overtime management
  • Relevant experience from law enforcement, security field or military organization (desirable)
  • Experience in planning security measures within an international environment (desirable)
  • Experience in Emergency Incident Management and/or Business Continuity Management (desirable)
  • Experience or familiarity with database management or scheduling tools (desirable)

Qualification Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent qualification from an institute of recognised standing
  • Project and/or programme management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, MPS (Managing Successful Programmes) or Project Management Professional) (desirable)
Other Details

Languages Required: • V (“Advanced”) in English or French• III (“Intermediate”) in the other official language of NATO (English/French)

Remuneration: • 5,234.63 Euro (EUR) Monthly
