Overview
Provide technical backstopping, operational guidance, and support to ensure project objectives are met and activities are carried out within agreed deadlines and at high technical standards for the NAP Georgia Project.
Tasks Summary
- Provide overall technical backstopping, operational guidance and support to National Project teams
- Assist Project Coordinators in planning implementation and adjusting Results Framework, Work Plans and Budgets
- Provide quality assurance and technical review of project outputs
- Draft or review ToRs for technical consultancies and sub-contracts
- Provide technical guidance and supervisory function to consultants
- Assist Project Managers and coordinate preparation of Annual GCF Interim Progress Reports
- Conduct technical supervision missions to Georgia
- Provide lead technical support in guiding Georgia National Adaptation Planning processes
- Collaborate with and support national and international NAP project consultants
- Oversight and technical inputs for NAP document consolidation
- Build stakeholder partnerships and identify co-financing opportunities
- Identify opportunities for impact and paradigm shift
- Perform other tasks as requested
Experience Requirements
• Two (2) additional years of qualifying experience with a first-level university degree
Qualification Requirements
- An advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent) in climate change or a related discipline such as disaster risk reduction, environmental planning or management, natural resources management, adaptation planning, geography and urban and regional planning, public policy and management, international development is required
- A first-level university degree, combined with two (2) additional years of qualifying experience
