Overview

The Nuclear Energy Agency is seeking a Junior Nuclear Energy Analyst to support strategic initiatives related to nuclear finance, workforce development, and supply chain. The role involves assisting with policy advice and research for member countries.


Tasks Summary
  • Participate in preparations and meetings of the NDC, relevant working parties and other events
  • Prepare the NEA’s annual Roadmaps to New Nuclear Ministerial Meeting
  • Support NEA’s workforce initiative Plan 2035
  • Assist the Head of NTE Division with "Advice to Policymakers" activities
  • Research and collect data for NTE studies and reports
  • Undertake quantitative and qualitative analyses of country energy policy and investments
  • Draft and prepare reports
  • Organise and coordinate international workshops and large-scale events

Experience Requirements
  • At least two years of experience in areas related to clean energy systems analysis
  • Understanding of nuclear energy's role in low-carbon electricity systems
  • At least some experience in leading, managing and concluding research projects in energy analysis
  • Experience in synthesising, drafting and publishing analytical work
  • Experience in organising and coordinating international workshops and large-scale events

Qualification Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in economics, energy policy, nuclear engineering, power system engineering or natural sciences

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French)

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of the other OECD official language (English and French), with a commitment to reach a good working level

Contract Duration: 12 month fixed-term appointment, with the possibility of renewal to a maximum of 36 months

Work Modality: Full-time

Remuneration: Monthly salary starts at 4 556.74 EUR, plus allowances based on eligibility, exempt of French income tax.
