Overview
Policy Analysts are responsible for developing and promoting the FATF’s strategic outputs on AML/CFT/CPF issues. They require specialised depth and/or breadth of expertise in their area of specialisation.
Tasks Summary
- Support country assessments of FATF members’ implementation of FATF Standards
- Assist assessors and assessed countries in interpreting FATF Standards
- Support AML/CFT/CPF experts in preparing follow-up reports
- Review voluntary tax compliance programmes
- Contribute to thematic horizontal reviews
- Contribute to FATF’s work on quality and consistency of mutual evaluations
- Support the FATF Plenary and working groups developing policy
- Produce high-quality analysis and synthesis of research findings
- Prepare information, discussion and decision papers on AML/CFT/CPF policy issues
- Collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative information, data and cases
- Stay abreast of emerging risks, best practices and policy developments
- Actively cultivate and maintain positive interactions with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

Specialised depth and/or breadth of AML/CFT/CPF expertise in own area of specialisation
