Overview
The Statistician will contribute to strengthening global and national capacities to monitor the Cost and Affordability of a Healthy Diet (CoAHD). The role supports the development and improvement of CoAHD methodologies and data analysis.
Tasks Summary
- Research and analysis of information, data, statistics, statistical methods, and statistical/econometric modelling
- Development and maintenance of specialized tools, methodologies, systems, and/or databases
- Technical assistance services to support programme implementation and monitoring
- Collection, review, processing, and analysis of social/economic/environmental indicators
- Development of improved/updated technical, statistical, and/or analytical tools, systems, and databases
- Research, data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting for technical standards and methodologies
- Production of technical reports and input for publications
- Response to requests and provision of technical/policy advice and assistance
- Participation in multidisciplinary teams and collaboration with other divisions
Experience Requirements
- Experience in the development and improvement of CoAHD methodologies
- Experience in supporting data analysis and validation
- Experience in coordinating capacity development activities with national counterparts and international partners
- Experience in the institutionalization of CoAHD monitoring within national statistical systems
- Experience in global production and dissemination of related indicators
