Overview

The role supports IFC's investments and the World Bank Group's Water Strategy by developing prospects and delivering technical and sector due diligence for potential investments in water and sanitation.

Tasks Summary

• Analyze potential investments in the water sector and support the Water Strategy of the World Bank Group
• Lead sector and technical due diligence and prepare detailed reports for the Investment Committee
• Review client's project management capabilities, costs, staffing, market and regulatory views, and contracts
• Provide technical and business input at all stages of the project cycle from business development to portfolio supervision
• Commission and review market and feasibility studies and business development mappings
• Procure and manage consultants

Experience Requirements

• At least 20 years experience in the water and sanitation sector
• Senior management water utility experience
• Experience in roles such as water utility director/manager
• Experience of working in emerging markets
• Experience of procuring and managing consultants
• Extensive management experience and used to leading and developing small teams

Qualification Requirements

• Professionally qualified as an engineer
• Professional registration related to the water and/or construction sector
