Overview

The Content and Communications Coordinator will lead and support communication and media activities across Save the Children’s Sumy, Kharkiv, and Dnipro offices. This includes creating compelling content on issues affecting children in Ukraine.

Tasks Summary
  • Provide communications support to Sumy, Kharkiv, and Dnipro offices
  • Develop and implement area communications plans
  • Propose ideas to strengthen visibility, presence, and impact
  • Monitor and analyse communication trends
  • Work closely with partner organizations
  • Provide updates on context developments and programmatic activities
  • Support media engagement by identifying stories, drafting press materials, and coordinating visits
  • Support teams in meeting donor compliance requirements
  • Support the design of communications/visibility materials
  • Collaborate to design and implement special communications projects and public events
  • Establish and maintain a coordinated content collection system
  • Collect and produce content, including stories, photos, videos, and case studies
  • Ensure communications products adhere to quality standards, brand guidelines, and Child Safeguarding policies
  • Maintain a well-organized content library
Experience Requirements
  • At least two years of professional experience in communications, multimedia, journalism, media or external communications work in an INGO or media setting
  • Experience producing high-quality written and visual content under tight deadlines
  • Experience in leading information and communication flows between emergency responses and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work with communities and partners to gather case studies, testimonies and information
Qualification Requirements

• University degree or equivalent experience in journalism, media, communications or a similar discipline
