Assists in planning, designing, rolling out, and evaluating projects and initiatives to support a regional advocacy and communication strategy. Manages and expands social and digital media platforms to highlight children's and women's issues, strengthen political will, and enhance the organization's credibility.
Tasks Summary
- Provide communication support for regional and global priorities, focusing on polio and vaccination.
- Oversee the production of advocacy and communication materials, ensuring quality and adherence to guidelines.
- Gather and repackage content from regional communication teams for digital and social media platforms.
- Draft and edit articles, press releases, and human interest stories for web and traditional media.
- Maintain databases of communication materials.
- Recommend appropriate communication materials and dissemination strategies.
- Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with journalists and media outlets.
- Maintain and update media relations contact lists.
- Assist in drafting and editing materials for all media formats.
- Prepare background materials for media and special interest group briefings and visits.
