Overview
Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and quality assurance of the Protection from Violence programme. The role aims to ensure displaced people and communities are protected by preventing and responding to violence, coercion, and actions that deny them their rights.
Tasks Summary
- Design and lead protection risk analysis
- Develop Protection from Violence strategy, theory of change, logical framework, and workplan
- Design programme SOPs and tools
- Develop and manage funding proposals, project budgets, and donor reports
- Coordinate and manage PfV project implementation
- Map international and national/local partners
- Ensure capacity building of project staff
- Coordinate with Protection Cluster and partners
- Liaise with authorities and stakeholders
- Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees
- Develop high-quality proposals and budgets
- Support development and implementation of protection analysis
- Ensure service mapping and referral mechanisms
- Develop strategies to reinforce collaboration with national/local protection actors
- Ensure M&E framework for PfV activities
- Promote PfV Staff capacity building on M&E
- Coordinate with other CCs
- Maintain communication with advocacy and communication team
- Ensure Safe and Inclusive Programming (SIP) standards
- Develop context-relevant programme tools, guidelines, and SOPs
- Support Head of Programme with donor engagement
- Ensure alignment with NRC Global PfV Policy and Regional priorities
- Manage PfV projects effectively
- Develop and follow project plans
- Ensure recruitment of PfV national staff
- Provide technical and operational guidance to PfV field teams and partners
- Ensure monitoring data is collected, analysed, and used
- Conduct field visits
- Raise challenges, bottlenecks, delays, and risks
- Support identification, documentation, and reporting of protection issues
- Evaluate and review ongoing and completed activities
- Ensure adherence to financial and logistical NRC systems/procedures
- Ensure timely and accurate development and submission of procurement, recruitment, and spending plans
- Provide support to recruitment process for PfV project staff
