Overview
The MHPSS FO implements Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) activities in collaboration with other Field Officers and relevant coordinators. The role involves training, supervising, and coaching others, as well as directly providing support to individuals affected by conflict and violence.
Tasks Summary
- Implements defined MHPSS activities for people affected by violence accessing health facilities and/or people with physical disabilities, following emergency protocols.
- Implements ICRC protocols for working with individuals, families, groups, and children.
- Collaborates with local and international stakeholders, MHPSS actors, and ICRC colleagues.
- Ensures regular data collection and reporting, including minutes of meetings, MAD, PEARL, and technical reports.
- Applies validated ICRC clinical tools to monitor service impact.
- Provides direct MHPSS consultations during emergencies, respecting privacy and confidentiality.
- Organizes beneficiary referrals and performs case follow-up (Case Management).
- Participates in identifying MHPSS intervention needs for target populations.
- Trains and supports staff from other organizations/partners/teams.
