Overview
The consultant will support the Local2030 Coalition Secretariat in driving advocacy and stakeholders engagement activities to advance SDG localization. This involves assisting with partnership coordination and providing operational support for Coalition activities.
Tasks Summary
- Develop advocacy strategies and map engagement opportunities
- Support design and implementation of stakeholder engagement strategies
- Coordinate partnerships with various actors to strengthen SDG Localization
- Provide guidance on conceptualization and planning of global events
- Develop and update Terms of Reference and operational guidance for governance mechanisms
- Support organization of governance-mechanism meetings
- Organize and facilitate stakeholders’ engagement meetings
- Contribute to drafting strategic documents and knowledge products
- Support integration of stakeholders’ and Hubs’ contributions into policy briefs
- Research and identify locally driven policies and solutions
- Support drafting and coordination of legal instruments
- Support administrative processes
Experience Requirements
- Experience in strengthening advocacy and stakeholder engagement to support SDG localization
- Experience in coordination of partnerships across governments, civil society, UN entities, and other partners
- Experience in providing operational support to ensure effective collaboration and delivery of Coalition activities
- Experience in supporting governance, consultation, and event-related processes
- Experience in systematization of local solutions to inform policy, guidance, and global SDG localization approaches
