Overview
Support the Local2030 Coalition Secretariat team on project management and knowledge development, management and promotion.
Tasks Summary
- Support the facilitation of knowledge exchange with UN members of the Local2030 Coalition.
- Support the organization of meetings, events, and workshops.
- Support team engagement in relevant events.
- Support in the dissemination of policy recommendations.
- Support the organization and management of knowledge products and outputs.
- Support the documentation of outcomes from meetings and events.
- Support the maintenance of databases and mapping of relevant documents, events, and deadlines.
Experience Requirements
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
Qualification Requirements
- Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), OR
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent), OR
- Have graduated with Bachelor's degree, Masters, PhD or equivalent.
- Be computer literate in standard software applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Have demonstrated a keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter.
- Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience drafting minutes, summaries, and/or other actionable documents.
- Understanding of principles of outreach, and event management.
- A field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
