Overview

Support assigned units by conducting research, monitoring developments, and gathering information on cooperation strategies. Assist in preparing briefings and meeting minutes.

Tasks Summary

• Conduct online research and prepare inputs for unit outputs
• Monitor developments/issues by collecting, selecting, analysing and compiling materials
• Gather information on cooperation strategies by countries, intergovernmental institutions, foundations and other actors
• Attend meetings and events
• Prepare briefings, talking points, and take meeting minutes

Experience Requirements

Applicants are not required to have professional work experience.

Qualification Requirements

• Enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
• OR enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent)
• Studies in the area of International Development Cooperation is desirable.

Other Details

Languages Required: English Spanish

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Work Modality: Santiago

Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
