Tasks Summary
- Familiarize with UN-Habitat's mandate and tools
- Support GIS mapping and spatial analysis
- Assist in developing concept notes and project documents
- Support country offices in monitoring and reporting
- Contribute to communication and visibility of activities
- Perform other tasks including note-taking, drafting minutes, translations, presentations, and attending meetings
Experience Requirements
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
Qualification Requirements
- Enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
- Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent)
- Graduated with Bachelor's degree, Masters, PhD or equivalent
- Computer literate in standard software applications (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and personal commitment to its ideals
- Demonstrated ability to interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs
- Knowledge in the thematic of urban development is required
