Overview
Support implementation of Gender Action Plans in Health and Education projects by providing technical and operational support. Ensure project compliance with standards and enhance gender monitoring and reporting.
Tasks Summary
- Provide technical and operational support to IPs/SPs for Gender Action Plans
- Ensure project compliance with ECA criteria, ESF standards, SEA/SH safeguards, and ADB gender and social inclusion requirements
- Enhance quality and frequency of gender monitoring and reporting
- Monitor and report on impact of decrees/restrictions on women and girls’ access to services and participation
- Generate evidence, insights, and stories explaining gender-related results
- Conduct field monitoring visits to observe gender and safeguarding actions
- Consult with female frontline workers to document gender risks and barriers
- Support development of Safety Audit and Gender Audit Action Plans
- Facilitate trainings for SP/IP on Gender Audit Action Plans
- Monitor gender-related KPIs and collect human-interest stories
- Coordinate with UNICEF teams and support donor reports
Experience Requirements
- Experience in implementation of Gender Action Plans
- Experience in Health and Education projects
- Experience in ensuring project compliance with ECA criteria, ESF standards, SEA/SH safeguards, and ADB gender and social inclusion requirements
- Experience in gender monitoring and reporting at field level
- Experience in monitoring and reporting on safety risks affecting women and girls
- Experience in generating evidence, insights, and human-interest stories
- Experience in capacity building and partner support
- Experience in field monitoring and safeguarding
- Experience in safety and gender audits
- Experience in coordination and knowledge management
