Overview
Provides technical support to construction activities, including planning, procurement support, and on-site monitoring. Collaborates with UNICEF Programme and Operations to meet programmatic needs and achieve results for children.
Tasks Summary
- Develop annual work plans for construction activities and monitor progress.
- Provide technical support for construction project management to Programme/Operations sections.
- Assist in preparing construction project proposals, planning, and terms of reference.
- Attend technical cooperation meetings and prepare project progress presentations.
- Draft the scope of construction works, define deliverables, and payment modalities.
- Apply UNICEF norms and standards to construction projects.
- Assist in checking technical documents related to construction.
- Assist Supply section in preparing LPA requests and CRC submissions.
- Update the shortlist of potential construction companies and engineering firms.
- Prepare tender documents for construction works and engineering services.
- Participate in the evaluation of technical proposals and draft technical recommendations.
Experience Requirements
Experience in construction project management, including planning, procurement support, and monitoring of construction works on site.
