Overview
The role involves conducting Non-Technical Surveys (NTS) to gather information on hazardous areas and responding to Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) emergency tasks. The position also includes overseeing Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) facilitators.
Tasks Summary
- Conduct NTS and collect updated information about hazardous areas.
- Respond to EOD emergency tasks and clear small-size mine/ERW hazards.
- Oversee EORE facilitators to ensure sessions adhere to SOPs.
- Lead or deliver Mine/ERW risk education sessions.
- Ensure survey teams have district-specific information before deployment.
- Supervise survey and EOD teams on operational sites.
- Obtain necessary surveys from official government bodies.
- Conduct QA/QC checks of team performance.
- Be aware of security alerts and establish evacuation plans.
- Manage explosives storekeeping, inventory, transportation, and safety.
- Maintain communication within the team using specified equipment.
- Provide timely reports on team movements, operations, demolitions, accidents, and drills.
- Control the quality and quantity of survey, EOD, and RE work.
- Provide daily safety briefs.
- Prepare, maintain, and control team stores and equipment.
- Report faulty clearance equipment.
- Collect and review data from EORE facilitators.
- Ensure EORE training materials are in good condition.
- Liaise with local authorities and communities.
- Maintain discipline within the team.
- Control and replace damaged equipment.
- Undertake other tasks as ordered by the Operation Officer/HDP Team leader.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum five years of De-mining (Mine/ERW clearance experience).
- Minimum two years Sur/EOD experience in the TL position.
- 1-year EORE experience.
Qualification Requirements
- High school (Certificate is attached).
- EOD- AMAS/IMAS-level 3 qualifications.
