Overview
The Information Assistant will support the implementation of the Social Territories Programme and its activities. The role reports to the Head of Brazil Office.
Tasks Summary
- Participate and support the organization of capacity building activities for government teams
- Assist in the elaboration and calculation of variables, indicators and other urban and environmental data
- Extract, process and analyse data from public databases and statistics
- Provide technical support for data collection, production, analysis and management
- Exert quality control on all data collected
- Analyse results with territorial vision to support public policies planning
- Accompany studies and research related to favela complexes
- Revise results of the Multidimensional Poverty Index
- Support technical teams with data analysis, evaluation and monitoring
- Attend meetings and conferences promoted by UN-Habitat
- Document expert group meetings, forums, consultations, training events
- Maintain an orderly and accessible information file
- Be responsible for delivery according to deadlines
- Ensure technical activities align with quality expectations
- Support the preparation of reports to partners and internal reports
- Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor
Experience Requirements
Experience in data analysis, evaluation and monitoring is required. Experience in the implementation of programmes and activities is required.
Qualification Requirements
Completion of all courses and training activities indicated by the supervisor is required. The BSAFE security course from UNDSS is required to be accredited during the first month of employment.
