Overview

Support the development of WHO's strategic engagement and dialogue with China on global health issues and implement the Country Cooperation Strategy.

Tasks Summary

• Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic engagement with China on global health
• Lead work with counterparts on global health initiatives, e.g., Global Development and South-South Cooperation Fund
• Coordinate WHO proposals for GDF and other opportunities
• Provide guidance on project application, facilitate technical review, advise on budget and procurement
• Coordinate visibility activities and materials
• Facilitate internal communication on South-South, trilateral, and multilateral cooperation
• Act as focal point for strategic dialogue with China on global health issues
• Manage delivery of research and/or products related to global health
• Provide technical analysis for collaborative activities
• Identify emerging opportunities for collaboration
• Prepare briefings and presentations on global health issues
• Draft speeches, fact sheets, talking points, and respond to media enquiries
• Perform other duties as required

Experience Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in partnership and health programme management, international relations or international development
• Knowledge of and strong experience in working with main stakeholders in China
• Knowledge of and experience in public health

Qualification Requirements

• Essential: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in management, business administration, international relations and/or similar field
• Desirable: Master degree in management, business administration and/or similar field
• Other education or training in public health, media/communication

Contract Duration: 2 years

Work Modality: physically located in the WHO China office in Beijing

Remuneration: Annual base salary starting at CNY 804, 630 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable)• 30 days of annual leave
