Overview

The consultant will assist the project in contributing to the development of evidence-based public policies aimed at the protection and prevention of intentional lethal violence against children and adolescents, acting at the national level.


Tasks Summary
  • Implementation of 27 training workshops for the production and systematization of data on intentional lethal violence against children and adolescents at the national level.
  • Database containing the mapping of the support network for direct and indirect victims of intentional lethal violence against children and adolescents at the national level.
  • Report containing the mapping of the support network for direct and indirect victims of intentional lethal violence against children and adolescents at the national level.
  • Conduct of 27 virtual feedback meetings to support the development of territorial action plans aimed at preventing and addressing intentional lethal violence against children and adolescents.

Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of two (2) years of proven professional and/or academic experience in the areas of psychometrics, data analysis, monitoring and/or implementation of public and social policies, or other fields related to the project is required.
  • Proficiency in software for data collection, statistical analysis, and data visualization (e.g., IRAMUTEQ, SPSS, STATA, R, Python, Power BI, among others) is required.
  • Experience in teaching (as a professor, lecturer, trainer, or similar) in areas and topics relevant to the scope of the consultancy is required.
  • Proficiency in geoprocessing software (e.g., Quantum GIS) is required.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation in areas relevant to the scope of the consultancy is desirable.
  • Previous experience in the implementation of actions or programs related to the thematic scope of the project, within the UN system, governmental entities, or civil society organizations is desirable.

Qualification Requirements

An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Psychology, Public Health, Sociology, Public Policy, Data Science, Computer Science, or another field relevant to the position is required. A first-level university degree in similar fields in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in Portuguese, including strong oral and written skills, is required. Knowledge of English is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of another United Nations Language is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 02.2026 - 08.2026

Work Modality: Home-based, with travel
