Overview

This consultancy focuses on mapping the care flow network for the prevention and response to intentional lethal violence against children and adolescents at the national level.


Tasks Summary
  • Produce a diagnostic assessment report of the prevention and response network across 27 federal units.
  • Develop a database mapping the support network for victims of intentional lethal violence against children and adolescents.
  • Create a report detailing the mapping of the support network for victims.
  • Conduct 27 virtual feedback meetings to support territorial action plan development.

Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of two (2) proven professional and/or academic experience in childhood, adolescence and youth, social protection, public and social policies, qualitative research implementation, or related fields.
  • Previous experience in implementing actions or programmes related to the project’s thematic areas within the UN system, government entities, or civil society organizations.
  • Experience in teaching (professor, lecturer, trainer, or similar) in relevant areas.
  • Experience in prevention and response to violence against children and adolescents is desirable.
  • Experience in publishing reports, articles, and/or book chapters on relevant topics is desirable.
  • Proficiency in qualitative data collection and analysis tools is desirable.

Qualification Requirements
  • Advanced university degree (PhD or equivalent) in Psychology, Public Health, Sociology, Public Policy, International Relations, Anthropology, Social Work, or a relevant field.
  • Master's degree in similar fields combined with two (2) additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of a PhD.
Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in Portuguese (oral and written). • Knowledge of English.

Languages Preferred: • Knowledge of another United Nations Language is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 02.2026 - 06.2026

Work Modality: Home-based, with travel
