Ekološka udruga "Krka" Knin Knin, Croatia Volunteer opportunity: NEDS 3 (Nature,Environment, Development and Sustainability)
This project focuses on environmental protection, sustainable community development, and solidarity. The volunteers involved will make a real contribution to community development by supporting various activities, such as organizing workshops and events, participating in environmental and solidarity actions, promoting their cultures, ESC mobility opportunities, and EU values. During the mobility, volunteers will have the opportunity to design their own personal project and assist in writing and implementing smaller project proposals in NEDS’s field of work. Volunteers will also support the activities of the local Eco-Library and have the opportunity to provide information to young people through information campaigns at local institutions in Knin and other cities in Šibenik-Knin County. Activity duration: from March 2nd until November 14th 2026 (268 days) In-country volunteer: from 02.02.26. -11.09.26. Open positions: 2 long term volunteer+ 1 in-country long-term volunteer Accommodation, food and transport arrangements The accommodation is provided by the host organisation. Volunteers will be accommodated in a student dormitory located in the city centre, close to the host organisation. Each volunteer will have their own room. Each volunteer will receive EUR 300–310 per month for pocket money, as well as a monthly food allowance (it is set by European solidarity Corps program guide 2025 to the standards of living in Croatia). Transportation costs are determined based on the European Commission’s distance calculator and are covered by the host organisation. Training during the activity During the mobility, volunteers will participate in: pre-departure training organised by their sending organisations, during which they will be provided with detailed information about voluntary service and their rights and responsibilities. In addition, volunteers will participate in two trainings provided by the Croatian National Agency: an on-arrival training and a mid-term training. During the mobility, volunteers will receive language learning support through the EU Academy – OLS, and can find additional learning opportunities on the European Youth Portal. Participant profile This call is open to all young people aged between 18 and 30 years old. We generally look for volunteers who are dynamic, creative, sociable, patient, able to work in a team, sociable, flexible and creative: we would like to host people with interesting hobbies, with their own ideas and open to different cultures. strong motivation, willingness to see and try something new, curiosity about the world and other cultures, a strong interest in ecology, environmental and nature protection, and a desire to learn and actively contribute to positive changes in the local community.
