Creative Art Farm in Italy APS Montepulciano (Loc. Salcheto), Italy Volunteer opportunity: 6-months Volunteers at Rural Cultural Hub in Tuscany, Italy
Are you curious to experience life in rural Tuscany while exploring how art, creativity and community work can strengthen sustainability, inclusion, and European values? We are looking for 3 volunteers from European countries (2 volunteers from EU Member States + 1 Italian volunteer) Volunteer role: - support sustainable & inclusive rural community-building through art. Tasks: - logistics/space care (prepare & clean indoor/outdoor areas, organize shared spaces, light repairs, creative upcycling); - creative support (assist workshops, language exchange, open studios & local events; set-up, materials, welcoming, photo/video); - communication/digital (simple website & social content, storytelling, short interviews); - promote European values - support videomapping/digital art/installations) - sustainability in practice (waste/resource reduction, reuse; seasonal firewood + vegetable garden; Mediterranean cooking sessions) - non-formal education activities Accommodation, food and transport arrangements - Logistics: Food covered by CAFI (ESC); volunteers cook; weekly grocery shopping with staff (mostly vegetarian Mediterranean). - Accommodation: Casa Salcheto, renovated Tuscan farmhouse with Wi-Fi, big kitchen, wood underfloor heating, laundry/dishwasher, 3 toilets; shared rooms by gender (owners + CAFI Art Lab on ground floor). - Pocket money: €6/day (mid-project bank transfer) - Insurance: Henner covered by ESC Project - Travel reimbursed A/R up to €211/€309/€395 (+bonus if >50% sustainable) - Pre-departure online meeting required. Training during the activity Join to gain hands-on experience in community cultural work, using art for social engagement. Build practical rural/sustainable living skills and strengthen initiative, responsibility, teamwork and problem-solving. Work with local communities and young people, experiment with creative formats (visual storytelling, digital art, comics, motion graphics, participatory activities), understand day-to-day NGO operations (logistics to programming), and reflect through mentoring + Youthpass. Participant profile Criteria - Available for the whole duration of the project - 18-30 years old - Resident in a EU member country (Italy included) - Ready to live in an intercultural context in a rural area, where the closest town with facilities is at 20 minutes on foot - Ready to share a room and common moments and spaces with other volunteers and guest of the Salcheto House. - Good time management, flexibility, pro-active, patience, open-mindedness, and team-work - Basic level in English - Previous education and working experiences in the described activities are welcome but not necessary - You are facing challenging situations in your life as described here -> https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Vxcc-lxpQihcoeVOSa9qPN8mZQYUs4YP/view?usp=sharing
