Overview
Support the Project Officer for the overall management of the IMAM component of the Nutrition program implemented in Project Townships. The role involves supervising community-based staff, monitoring activities, and conducting medical consultations for malnourished children.
Tasks Summary
- Supervise community based staffs & volunteers and monitor Outpatient Therapeutic Program(OTP) and Supplementary Feeding Program(SFP) activities.
- Conduct medical consultation to severe acute malnutrition children at OTP and triage for referral.
- Provide weekly supportive supervision to field staff.
- Compile documents, check and analyse data related to OTP and SFP.
- Conduct nutrition promotion activities and provide hygiene kits.
- Supervise community based staffs & volunteers for Systematic Supplies Management.
- Supervise and train community level nutrition volunteer and peer mothers/fathers.
- Ensure community mobilization and facilitate community-based project activities.
- Take steps to ensure the programme benefits the poorest and most disadvantaged children.
- Assist and facilitate capacity building workshops, awareness sessions, review meetings and training sessions.
- Assist in producing resource materials, deliver training, make presentations and organise events.
- Monitor and document the progress of project activities.
- Assist baseline/endline surveys, barrier analysis and data entry.
- Assist in design of project activities in Nutrition programming.
- Assist in procurement of materials, maintenance of project equipment and repair.
- Liaise with community/ village authorities, and departmental officials.
- Assist supervisor in preparing work plan and budget estimation.
- Keep records of activities, and report regularly on programme progress.
- Assist supervisor in maintaining program documents and coordinating with all departments.
- Any other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor.
Experience Requirements
- At least 1 year thematic experience in development or emergency programming especially in Nutrition programmes.
- Professional working experience with international organizations preferable
- Good knowledge and experience on Integrated Management of Malnutrition (IMAM).
- Proven team working ability
- Ability to live and travel in remote locations.
Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor/Degree with health related background.
