Overview

The Information Knowledge Management Officer is responsible for implementing Allied Command Operations (ACO) IKM Policy, developing KFOR HQ specific concepts and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and coordinating IKM activities within KFOR.

Tasks Summary
  • Prepares and manages HQ KFOR IKM policies.
  • Provides advice and guidance on IKM across HQ KFOR and subordinate units.
  • Analyses HQ KFOR IKM requirements to identify continuous improvement.
  • Ensures IKM standardization across HQ KFOR.
  • Oversees and enforces HQ KFOR Staff Work Management policy.
  • Implements new IM tools and processes.
  • Prepares briefings and training on IKM policies and products.
  • May be required to undertake operational deployments and/or TDY assignments both within and outside NATO’s boundaries.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of five (5) years overall experience in the area of information and knowledge management and/or in the application of management of information processing techniques to include:
  • Development and promotion of the strategy and policies covering the design and upkeep of information structures and taxonomies;
  • Experience in business process analysis and project management;
  • Use of collaborative management tools (e.g. time management software, knowledge management systems, SharePoint, client portals);
  • One (1) year experience of information management in a military or international organization/company.
Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer related subject such as management information systems, information science, library or computer science.
  • Master's degree in a computer related subject such as management information systems, information science, library or computer science.
Other Details

Languages Required: • English language – Candidate will be required to have a very good level of speaking, reading, writing, and listening in English.

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: 12-month contract, which may be renewed yearly up to a maximum period of six (6) years

Work Modality: The work is normally performed in a normal NATO office-working environment.

Remuneration: • Salary (Pay Basis) : 6,539.00 Euro (EUR) Monthly • An installation allowance equal to one month’s salary • A removal allowance equal to one month’s salary • Travel Expenses paid to take up duty / end of tour from/to your permanent residence.
