Overview

The Senior Technician (ICT System Operations, Administration, and Maintenance) will contribute to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation work, and provide support for hardware, software, and tools used by customers.

Tasks Summary
  • Section Head of Digital Workplace Services
  • Contributes to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation work, including building and management of systems and components in virtualised computing environments
  • Provides Digital Workplace Services support to the hardware, software and tools which are used by the customer in the AoR and defined in Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Service Support Packages (SSPs) and Operational Level Agreement (OLA)
  • Develops installation procedures and standards systems to support Digital Workplace Services
  • Advises and supports day-to-day operation, control and monitoring of mission dedicated systems
  • Initiates and maintains liaison with other CSUs, Business Areas and other technical organizations
  • Discusses with customers technical details for approved changes on local systems
  • Provides inputs to Customer Relation Management for Customer’s Quarterly Reports
  • Investigates and proposes long term solutions to equipment and configuration problems
  • Provides Technical Management support to the software applications and tools used by the instructors to maintain the systems supported by the NCI Academy
Experience Requirements
  • Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 years post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience
  • At least 2 years' experience providing functioning support of hardware, software, networks and computers in large organizations
  • Hands-on experience monitoring system performance
  • Practical experience detecting and troubleshooting technical issues
  • Experience working with end-user and customer-oriented approach
Qualification Requirements
  • Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline
  • Secondary educational qualification
