Auslandsgesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt e.V. Auslandsgesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt Volunteer opportunity: International Relations and Event Management in the Oneworld House
The Auslandsgesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt (AGSA) is a NGO with more than 38 member organizations, working in the areas of development policy, European and international exchanges and the integration of immigrants into German society. You will learn more about intercultural education, public relations, and media design. Project activities: - Facilitating the development of partnerships between Saxony-Anhalt, its cities and international partners (e.g. town twinning) - Organizing and implementing the “Language Café” twice a month -participating in the youth project “Europa geht weiter” (Europe goes on) -Assisting in the preparation, implementation and follow-up of the international youth project “Eurocamp” with other volunteers -Designing flyers, posters, and other promotional materials for NGOs of the One World House -Assisting in the planning and implementation of events in the One-World House -Organizing and implementing own project ideas - General office activities Accommodation, food and transport arrangements You will share a flat with 2-3 ESC volunteers. Your living arrangement will include a private bedroom, a shared kitchen, and a shared bathroom. Free WI-FI will also be provided. At the beginning of each month, you will receive funds to cover your food expenses. The rate is determined by the National Agency and currently stands at €11.10 per day for food and €7 per day for pocket money. Local transportation is also covered. Training during the activity During your ESC, you will be required to participate in two essential seminars: the On-Arrival Training and the Mid-Term Seminar. Additionally, there will be a monthly meeting where you will gather with all Magdeburg volunteers to discuss the current situation, collaborate on joint activities, or visit other projects. There will also be opportunities to engage in other seminars and workshops, with the condition that they do not conflict with your primary tasks and activities. Earlier start of the Project is possible!! Participant profile Very good proficiency in English. Preferably a strong command of the German language (good or very good). Good proficiency in a further EU language (e.g. Polish, French,…) are advantageous. Keen interest in international relations and intercultural exchange. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-reliant and creative. Prior experience and skills in communications, public relations, and social media are advantageous.
