Overview
This role provides support functions and performs standard logistics/supply chain processes and activities to enable effective delivery of goods and services, with a focus on fuel management at the Jijiga logistics hub.
Tasks Summary
- Contribute to fuel management at Jijiga logistics hub in accordance with WFP regulations and fuel management SOP.
- Conduct due diligence checks on bulk fuels, measure and report stock levels.
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly fuel balance sheets into the Fleet Management System and Fuel Vouchers System.
- Check the functionality of fuel dispensing equipment and ensure safety procedures are followed.
- Ensure fuel is issued only to authorized WFP assets and document fuel transactions.
- Respond to technical queries and requests for support.
- Collect and compile fuel related data, conduct analysis, and produce reports.
- Perform any other assigned duties as required.
Experience Requirements
- Five or more years of progressively responsible work experience in logistics and supply chain including fuel and fleet management.
- Experience in general administrative work.
- Previous experience in emergencies is an advantage.
- Experience in Somali region is an added value.
- Experience in fleet management, transport planning, fuel management and data analysis is desirable.
- Experience in measuring service providers’ performance against set KPIs is desirable.
- Experience in providing technical business support in corporate systems is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
- Completion of secondary school education.
- A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area.
- A university degree in business administration, economics, or related field is an added advantage.
