Overview
The Protection Assistant - PCM Case Worker will implement PCM case management activities in Dima, providing case management services to survivors and beneficiaries affected by the crisis.
Tasks Summary
- Implement general protection case management activities.
- Identify and receive referrals of individuals facing protection risks and provide tailored case management.
- Conduct intake interviews and open cases if vulnerability criteria are met.
- Carry out comprehensive protection risk assessments.
- Develop tailored case plans or safety plans.
- Seek support for complex cases and participate in debriefing sessions.
- Work with community structures and partner organizations.
- Assist in establishing integrated protection case management centers.
- Follow-up case management activities and provide reports.
- Conduct referrals of beneficiaries to service providers and recommend case closure.
- Support protection monitoring teams.
- Ensure ethical and sound data collection, analysis, and protection reports.
- Ensure proper documentation of all cases.
- Ensure the maintenance and update of case management database and trackers.
- Enter client data on the DRC Case Management IM system or excel forms.
- Participate in supervision sessions, case conferences, team meetings, training, and workshops.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year’ experience in an entry to mid-level position in humanitarian protection or relevant social service field.
- Experience in Tigray region is strongly mandatory.
- Experience in direct implementation of Community-Based protection activities.
- Proven record of community engagement and consultation.
- Experience in identifying and responding to needs of particular vulnerable individuals based on protection risks, age, gender, and diversity analysis.
Qualification Requirements
• University degree in social work, social science, law or other relevant field from a recognized institution.
