Overview

The Finance Officer is responsible for overseeing partners’ sub-grant financial management, strengthening partners’ financial and compliance capacities, ensuring adherence to donor and consortium financial requirements, and contributing to daily finance operations of the ABA Consortium.

Tasks Summary

• Conduct financial capacity assessments and due diligence of partner CSOs.
• Develop and implement partner capacity development plans.
• Provide financial management, oversight, and monitoring of partnership and sub-grant agreements.
• Review and verify partners’ financial reports and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with program and partnership teams on financial status of projects.
• Support partners in proposal development, including budget design.
• Prepare partners for internal and external audits and donor reviews.
• Ensure compliance with internal control, anti-fraud, and anti-corruption policies.
• Perform other finance-related tasks as required.

Experience Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in finance/accounting, partnership support, or a related field in humanitarian organizations, as well as at least 2 years of experience in finance and accounting.

Qualification Requirements

University degree in the related field or equivalent (Finance, Accountancy, Economy).

Other Details

Languages Preferred: • B1-B2 level of English.

Contract Duration: 12 months renewable

Remuneration: Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for employees on national contracts.
