Egyesek Ifjúsági Egyesület Szécsény, Hungary Volunteer opportunity: Seeds of Solidarity 4.0
Seeds of Solidarity is an ESC volunteering project that brings together international volunteers to collaborate in the rural area of Hungary. Located in Szécsény, this project focuses on working with schools, local and Egyesek own youth center. You will be contributing to the development of children and youth with fewer opportunities on a daily basis and get to know the methods of nonformal education and experimental pedagogy. What will you do: -Engage with local schools and youth centers to deliver impactful educational sessions. -Gain experience in youth work (outreach and field work with children and youth). -Have the freedom to develop your own initiatives and projects with having professional support by your side. -Immerse yourself in a high-quality learning process that nurtures personal and professional growth. Szécsény is a small town in the heart of Nógrád with all necessary facilities (banks, pharmacy, hospital, supermarkets, restaurants,cafés, etc) available. Szécsény is directly connected to all activity areas and Budapest, which can be easily reached by local transportation. Travel reimbursement, mentoring, group coaching, pocket money, food allowance and local transport arrangements are provided by us and our experts. Training during the activity We provide one task related 3 days long onboarding and monthly technical training for the volunteers in order to deepen their skills and knowledge in the field of outreach youth work. Volunteers take part in on-arrival and mid-term trainings organized by the Hungarian National Agency, as well as have an opportunity to participate in self-development and leadership trainings organized by Egyesek and our international partners. Participant profile Open minded, willing to learn, team player. As the project involves working with children, the ideal volunteer would have interest in this field and open to learning about informal educational methods. Our project is open to anyone, regardless of gender, religion, race, sexual orientation etc. Open to applicants from European Solidarity Corps programme countries between the age 18-30.
