Overview
Support the project team to ensure effective project planning and implementation, and provide support to the effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on progress of project implementation.
Tasks Summary
- Compile and summarize information and data for project work plans, draft annual/quarterly budgets, and proposals on implementation arrangements.
- Provide comprehensive support in all aspects of project implementation in accordance with project documents and agreements.
- Ensure compliance of project business processes with UNDP Project Operational Policies and Procedures (POPP) and UNDP Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Support mainstreaming gender equality in project implementation, including in data collection and compilation.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for project delivery, including organizing events, coordinating procurement, maintaining records, recruiting team members, and supporting contracting activities.
- Support financial management tasks including facilitating project payments, initiating project budgets, and facilitating project revisions.
- Facilitate administrative backstopping of project team members when necessary.
- Establish and maintain contacts and cooperation with relevant UN Agencies, government institutions, NGOs, tertiary institutions, partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure regular communication and coordination with partners, project counterparts, stakeholders, and beneficiaries.
- Support creation of high quality information and visibility of project activities among stakeholders.
- Undertake horizon scanning and explore opportunities for resource mobilization.
- Support implementation of the project monitoring system in alignment with its Monitoring and Evaluation framework.
- Collect, analyze and present information for monitoring and evaluation of project implementation against project targets and for audit purposes.
- Assist in the organization of field and study visits, missions, workshops, roundtables, and conferences.
- Assist in implementation of effective risk management for the project with a well-documented risk mitigation plan in place.
- Prepare and consolidate required project reports on a timely basis.
- Support related project audit and evaluation preparations as required.
- Provide support in the dissemination and sharing of relevant data and lessons learned.
- Make sound contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
- Support compiling and systematizing project knowledge, products and tools as well as their wide distribution to partners.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 6 years with high school completion or 3 years with Bachelor’s degree of relevant experience in natural resource management, environment, climate change and resilience building or mainstreaming related work.
Qualification Requirements
- High school diploma completion required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Project Management, Water Resources Management, Environment or Natural Resources Management, Disaster Management, Climate Change, Development, Conservation Management or equivalent field will be given due consideration.
