Overview

The role supports specialized communication and information management services for a project focused on e-waste and youth employment. It involves developing and implementing communication strategies, creating content, and managing media relations.

Tasks Summary
  • Undertake specialized support services in communication and information management.
  • Develop and implement project and social media strategies.
  • Create audiovisual content for social media and the ILO website.
  • Coordinate media messaging and content uploading.
  • Lead media engagement, including press conferences and press kits.
  • Develop communication materials to showcase project achievements.
  • Promote project initiatives across various communication channels.
  • Guide the production of publications and audio-visual products.
  • Provide communication and visibility support for project events.
  • Provide documentation services and maintain web content management systems.
  • Monitor media output and draft press releases.
  • Analyze campaigns and revise communication strategies.
  • Stay updated on communication techniques and best practices.
  • Perform other relevant duties as requested.
Experience Requirements
  • At least six years of office support work experience, primarily in communication or information management support services.
  • Experience in national and international multimedia communication activities (social media, digital, video, audio, print).
  • Familiarity with design and content creation tools (Photoshop, Canva, Illustrator or similar).
  • Familiarity with photography and videography tools (Lightroom, Premiere Pro, iMovie, Final Cut, Cap Cut, or similar).
  • Experience in communication for development-funded projects implemented by national/international NGOs/UN agencies is an advantage.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing communications strategies through various means.
  • Experience in developing communications strategies using behavioral and social change communication.
  • Demonstrated experience working with and overseeing consultants and external companies.
  • Experience in, and knowledge of sustainable environmental interventions is preferred.
Qualification Requirements
  • Completion of secondary school education.
  • Formal training in communication, media studies, journalism, public relations, or information management-related area.

Remuneration: • The entry level salary for this position is K545,344 (Zambian Kwacha) yearly.
