Overview

Assist in liaising and coordinating with government agencies and partners to promote cooperation on multilateral development initiatives. Support internal coordination and communication to facilitate a strategic approach to engagement.

Tasks Summary
  • Assist in liaising and coordinating with relevant government agencies and other partners in China to promote cooperation on multilateral development initiatives.
  • Support internal coordination and communication with IOM country and regional offices as well as relevant divisions in the HQ.
  • Support the development of project proposals and other documents.
  • Maintain regular communication with Chinese counterparts and relevant IOM offices to facilitate project implementation and reporting.
  • Support IOM regional office and HQ in collecting information on funding trends and opportunities.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and capacity-building activities.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Experience Requirements
  • Proven experience in fundraising or partnerships development with multilateral donors.
  • Experience preparing project proposals and concept notes.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
  • Prior work experience with Global Development and South-South Cooperation Fund is an advantage.
Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or, Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields.

Other Details

Languages Required: Native speaker of Mandarin Chinese and fluency in English is required (oral and written).

Contract Duration: Up to 9 months
