Overview
The incumbent is responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of Counter Trafficking (CT), labour exploitation and ethical recruitment-related activities and projects of the IOM Country Office for Austria.
Tasks Summary
- Support the planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of the Country Office’s CT project(s) and activities related to labour exploitation and the promotion of fair working conditions for migrant workers, including ethical recruitment.
- Collect, analyze and compile information, prepare narrative reports and presentations on CT and IOM's work on labour exploitation and ethical recruitment.
- Coordinate relevant activities with the RTS at SRO Brussels and RO Vienna, as well as relevant IOM Country Offices.
- Maintain working contacts with donors, involved governmental agencies as well as with other national interlocutors and international organizations relevant to CT, labour exploitation and ethical recruitment to support coordinated implementation of activities.
- Maintain sound working relations and facilitate information exchange on operational aspects of the CT project(s) and related labour exploitation/ ethical recruitment activities.
- Coordinate with the RMU in the preparation of budget expenditures and financial reports related to CT and labour exploitation/ethical recruitment project activities.
- Coordinate the preparation of CT and other project proposals related to the prevention of labour exploitation and the promotion of ethical recruitment practices; contribute to other protection-related proposals developed by IOM Austria.
- Plan, coordinate and conduct capacity building and CT/ labour exploitation/ ethical recruitment events including trainings, workshops, meetings, presentations, and conferences.
- Participate in official meetings, events, seminars, conferences, training courses and duty travel.
- Provide technical support to other Country Office staff on the application of CT/ labour exploitation/ ethical recruitment tools and procedures.
- Respond to complex information requests and inquiries regarding CT/ labour exploitation/ ethical recruitment workflows and operational processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the COM.
Experience Requirements
- Seven years of relevant experience with a High School diploma, or five years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Proven experience in counter-trafficking and migrant protection.
- Experience in liaising with governmental and diplomatic authorities, as well as with national and international institutions.
- Experience in humanitarian programmes for migrants, capacity-building activities, and in project coordination, reporting and development.
- Experience in supporting project activities and supervising personnel.
- Familiarity with financial and business administration procedures, including IOM and EU financial rules and regulations, an advantage.
- Previous work experience in international organizations is an advantage.
Qualification Requirements
• High School diploma or Bachelor’s degree in international relations, politics, social science, geography or related field from an accredited academic institution.
