Manages the operational, business, and administrative activities of the NATO Headquarters Printing and Graphic Design Service, driving its transformation into a modern operation delivering cutting-edge graphics design and state-of-the-art printing solutions.

Tasks Summary
  • Manages the operational, business, and administrative activities of the Printing and Graphic Design Service.
  • Drives the transformation of the service into a modern, forward-looking operation.
  • Ensures customer requests are processed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Manages change to embrace new technologies and workflows.
  • Implements innovative solutions to meet evolving demands.
  • Ensures the service is equipped with advanced technology and staff receive training.
  • Seeks and oversees suitable outsourcing solutions.
  • Delivers excellent customer support by informing customers about latest technologies and providing solutions.
  • Participates in the development of new standards and business processes.
  • Recommends innovative forms of service and new ways services can be provided.
  • Promotes printing and graphics best practices and new ways of working.
  • Develops key operational and customer service performance metrics.
  • Introduces service level agreements.
  • Ensures benefits of outsourcing are fully exploited.
  • Maintains professional standards through assessment and introduction of modern technologies.
  • Manages staff, including work allocation, training needs, and staff issues.
  • Evaluates staff performance.
  • Provides printing and graphic design expertise to support high-level diplomatic events and campaigns.
  • Drives and oversees projects to enhance efficiency, innovation, and service delivery.
  • Collaborates on cross-functional projects within ICTM.
  • Prepares annual budget proposals and tracks expenditures.
  • Liaises with stakeholders to understand and meet organizational printing and graphics design requirements.
  • Participates in DIMS management meetings.
  • Occasionally replaces the Head DIMS during absence.
Experience Requirements
  • At least five years’ experience in managing and supervising printing and graphics design staff.
  • Proven management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of modern techniques and working practices used in graphics design and digital printing.
  • Familiarity with production equipment and graphic design software such as Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Professional competence and mastery of printing and graphics design processes.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer support, including dedicated assistance to high-level clients.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing complex projects, in a multicultural environment.
  • Experience in implementing a change agenda, with involvement in change management processes.
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation.
Qualification Requirements

• A university degree or equivalent level diploma from an establishment of recognised standing in one of the disciplines related to the job.

Other Details

Languages Required: • V (“Advanced”) in one of NATO’s official languages (French/English). • III (“Intermediate”) in the other of NATO’s official languages (French/English).

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: Definite duration contract of three years; possibility of renewal for up to three years.

Work Modality:

Remuneration: • 6,713.06 Euro (EUR) Monthly
